Footy fever takes Adelaide Metro with free travel to SANFL Grand Final
Wednesday, 20 September 2023
Footy fans heading to Adelaide Oval to cheer on Glenelg or Sturt at this weekend’s SANFL Grand Final can travel for free on all Adelaide Metro services.
Free public transport will be available to and from the city all day on regular Adelaide Metro and Adelaide Oval bus, train and tram services, upon presentation of a valid grand final ticket.
Footy fans under 18 years old receive free entry to the match and do not need to present a ticket when boarding.
Adelaide Oval bus services will run up to 45 minutes after the final siren, while additional train and tram services will run for more than an hour post-game to ensure an easy and convenient ride for an expected crowd of about 30,000 fans.
Visit www.adelaidemetro.com.au to check your timetable in real time or to plan your trip with the Adelaide Metro journey planner.
Some roads surrounding the oval will close from 11:30am, so please follow the directions of traffic controllers and allow extra time when travelling. Find real-time updates on traffic conditions at Traffic SA.
