Ho Ho Ho! Free Pageant PT is the way to Go Go Go!
Monday, 28 October 2024
‘Twas the month before Christmas, and all ‘round the state,
girls and boys were all waiting, hoping Father Christmas wouldn’t be late…
The Pageant is coming, it starts in just days,
and free public transport, will help families find their way…
Adelaide Metro will provide free public transport and additional services for the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant on Saturday 2 November.
While we can’t offer a reindeer-pulled sleigh, extra trains, trams and buses will be available before and after the pageant from 6:30am to 2pm, providing an easy and free option for pageant-goers to get into the city, without the hassle of finding a car park, then get home again.
The extra services will offer quick, easy and convenient access to the city for the expected crowd of more than 300,000 people.
Passengers can visit www.adelaidemetro.com.au to check their timetable in real time and plan their trip with Adelaide Metro’s journey planner.
From 5am to 1pm on Pageant Day, no tram services will operate on King William Street, which forms part of the pageant route.
Tram services will continue to operate between Glenelg and South Terrace, and between the Entertainment Centre and Adelaide Railway Station.
Some bus stops will also be closed in the CBD, with services aiming to bring passengers as close as possible to the pageant route. There will be a number of road closures in the city to ensure a safe pageant.
