Notice to Mariners No 21 of 2018

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – ENCOUNTER BAY – SHIPWRECK EXCLUSION ZONE
Mariners are advised that a historic shipwreck zone around the shipwreck “South Australian” in Encounter Bay (Victor Harbor) has been declared under section 7 of the Historic Shipwrecks Act 1981. The protected zone prohibits entry, including underwater activities such as diving, within a 30 metre radius of the following coordinates: 35° 34.641’ S, 138° 36.213’ E. The protected zone has been declared to add an additional layer of protection to a historic shipwreck that is of high significance to the State of South Australia.
