Hawker Street Temporary closure for T2T works

As part of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project, the T2T alliance will be undertaking major pavement and asphalt works at the South Road intersection with Hawker Street, Ridleyton. As a result, Hawker Street will be closed to all traffic at South Road.

To minimise disruptions, works will be undertaken from 7pm Friday 3 August to 6am Monday 6 August 2018, weather permitting.

Works will include the excavation and replacement of service lids and installation of traffic islands, new kerbing and footpaths.

It is business as usual for businesses on South Road and Croydon Shopping Centre.

Pedestrian access at the South Road intersection with Hawker Street will be temporarily closed during these works.

Some bus routes will be detoured, with bus stops 14 and 15 on Hawker Street near Wright Street and on South Road will be temporarily closed.

Signage will be in place at these bus stops to direct passengers to the nearest available bus stop. Further information can be found on the Adelaide Metro website at www.adelaidemetro.com.au.
