As part of finishing works for the Northern Connector Project, temporary closures and detours will be in place on the Northern Connector and the South Road Superway, between the Northern Connector’s Bolivar Interchange and Grand Junction Road, this weekend.
Southbound Northern Connector and South Road Superway, between the Bolivar Interchange and Grand Junction Road will be closed from 7pm, Friday, 27 March and reopened 8am, Saturday, 28 March (see map).
To facilitate these night works, the following detours will be in place:
- Southbound Northern Connector vehicles will be directed to exit at the Bolivar Interchange to Hodgson and Port Wakefield Roads
- Access to South Road (under the South Road Superway) from the Salisbury Highway (westbound) will be retained
- Access to South Road from the Port River Expressway (eastbound) will be maintained via a detour to Hanson Road.
Northbound South Road Superway and Northern Connector, between Regency Park and the Bolivar Interchange, will be closed from 6pm, Saturday, 28 March and reopened 8am, Sunday, 29 March (see map).
To facilitate these night works, the following detours will be in place:
- Northbound access will be maintained via detours to Grand Junction and Port Wakefield Roads
- The South Road northbound exit at Regency Park to Grand Junction Road will remain open
- Northern Connector, northbound will remain open from the Bolivar Interchange (access from Bolivar and Port Wakefield Roads).
Signage and traffic management will be in place to advise motorists of changed conditions. Speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, take extra care when workers are on site, and observe speed and traffic restrictions.
