National Road Safety Week 2024

National Road Safety Week is from Sunday, 5 May to Sunday, 12 May 2024.
National Road Safety Week is an annual initiative run by the Safer Australian Roads and Highways Group, who partners with road safety organisations and government to highlight the impact of road trauma and the ways we can help to make our roads safer for everyone.
How you can participate in National Road Safety Week
- Take the pledge this National Road Safety Week to “Drive So Others Survive”.
- Test your road safety knowledge with our Road Safety Quiz.
Look out for South Australian icons including Adelaide Oval, the Riverbank Footbridge and Adelaide Entertainment Centre lighting up yellow.
Daily Themes
National Road Safety Week will focus on different areas of road safety throughout the week.
- Sunday 5 May: remember the 1200.
- Monday 6 May: your road safety pledge.
- Tuesday 7 May: road safety for the next generation actions.
- Wednesday 8 May: protect those who protect and assist us.
- Thursday 9 May: how safe is my ride?
- Friday 10 May: drive in the moment & avoid distraction.
- Saturday 11 May: share the street.
- Sunday 12 May: take care on regional roads.
