The big bike is up - come see us at the village
Tuesday 6 January 2026
THINK! Road Safety's BIG inflatable bike is back in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga – marking the start of the 2026 Santos Tour Down Under.
The City of Adelaide’s Tour Village features a 15-metre-high, 38-metre-long inflatable bike as a centrepiece. It stands as a reminder that road safety is everyone’s responsibility.
The THINK! Road Safety Partnerships team will be in the Tour Village every day. They will be there alongside the SA Police Road Safety Section. They will be from the opening night on Friday 16 January through to the final day on Sunday 25 January 2026.
People aged 16 years and over can try an immersive road safety experience using our virtual reality headsets. They will learn about road safety and why it is so important. For younger cycling fans, we will have colouring in and puzzle sheets.
We welcome everyone to stop by and have a chat as they enjoy the atmosphere of the village and festivities on offer across the event.

Our partnerships program
The THINK! Road Safety Partnerships Program empowers and educates South Australians to be lifelong learners of road safety.
We aim to change road user behaviour by implementing targeted initiatives. These initiatives focus on engaging with people who are over-represented in road incidents.
