A new Park 'n' Ride facility will be built at the Torrens Park railway station

About the project

The State Government has committed $7 million to deliver a new Park 'n' Ride facility at Torrens Park railway station, improving access to public transport for commuters in the area.

This project will be delivered on vacant land that has been acquired by the Department to provide additional parking, improve station access, and enhance the overall experience for public transport users.

Key features of the proposed design include:
  • a new sealed car park with approximately 38 spaces, including 2 accessible parks
  • new accessible ramp to Torrens Park railway station
  • access provided from Belair Road, with pedestrian crossing improvements at the Blythewood Road intersection
  • installation of lighting and CCTV
  • a secure bike cage to support active travel
  • new tree planting and landscaping

    Session 1: Wednesday, 26 August 2026, 5pm-7pm

    Session 2: Sunday 30 August 2026, 10am-12pm

    At these sessions you can:

    • View the updated concept design.
    • Speak directly with members of the project team.
    • Learn about the proposed works, project benefits and anticipated timeframes.
    • Ask questions and provide feedback.

    If you are unable to attend a session, project information will be available online and feedback can be provided directly to the project team.

    Community members who are unable to attend an information session can still participate by completing the online survey, reviewing project information online or contacting the project team directly.
