About the project
We’re continuing to improve railway stations and rail infrastructure across South Australia’s passenger rail network to create safer, more comfortable and more accessible spaces.
What's happening
Improvement works include:
- new and refurbished shelters
- new bike cages
- new seating and bins
- lighting upgrades
- access improvements
- platform improvements
- other minor works such as painting and landscaping.

- Outer Harbor Railway Station platform and ramp improvements
- Raglan Avenue, South Plympton pedestrian maze way widening
- Woodlands Park Railway Station pedestrian maze way widening
Underway and scheduled for completion in 2026
- Mawson Interchange new bike cage
- Mile End Railway Station new passenger information displays
- Portland Street, Seacliff pathway and underpass lighting
We are also undertaking upgrades of the tram line between South Terrace and Moseley Square to improve passenger safety and comfort.
