Cooper Creek flood response

Heavy rainfall resulted in flooding across parts of outback South Australia. This included the Cooper Creek catchment.

Birdsville Track

The Birdsville Track at the Cooper Creek causeway in South Australia reopened in early February as Cooper Creek flood waters subsided.

Cooper Creek barge service

The Cooper Creek barge service is not in operation. The barge will remain on site as we monitor flooding in Queensland and the impact that may have on the Cooper Creek and our unsealed roads.
