Tourist Accommodation Road Sign Application Form

 

Owners of a tourist accommodation or service can use this form to apply for a tourist accommodation road sign. These signs help to direct visitors to your business.

There is a different form for tourist attractions. If you are a tourist attraction owner or operator, you can apply for a tourist attraction sign.

We’ll assess applications based on navigation needs, safety and efficient traffic management. Assessments will not consider the promotion of a business.

Please provide evidence of relevant licences and approvals to operate as an accommodation business.  (Refer section 5.1)

 

 

Is the business open daily? 

Is the accommodation available without prior booking?  (Refer section 5.1)

Is the accommodation open to individual tourists i.e. not exclusively for coach tours or other organised groups?  (Refer section 5.1)

Please provide details of existing on-site signs (including photographs) that clearly identify the entrance to the accommodation business.  (Refer section 5.1)

Conditions

Approvals are valid for eight years.

You must make sure your business continues to meet relevant criteria during this time. Submitting this application indicates that you accept this condition.

If the business no longer meets relevant criteria contact the Traffic Management Centre on 1800 018 313.

After the approved period, we may ask you to show that the business still qualifies for signage.

We may review and remove the sign at any time.
