List of network studies and plans

We carry out investigative network studies on the state's transport system. This helps us establish clear priorities to inform future infrastructure planning that:

  • is sustainable and feasible
  • supports growth.

Our Transport Strategy is the blueprint that outlines a long-term vision for the state’s transport system. The strategy will transform how people and goods move around the state. It sets the direction for transport planning and the projects to focus on and invest in. This ensures our transport system and networks are ready for the future.

REVIEW THIS CONTENT. To support our studies, we subdivide the state into key areas and undertake studies in each area. We also keep in mind that changes in a focus area can impact surrounding regions as well.

Road Management Plans

TSPD and TSNP are also responsible for investigating and preparing Road Management Plans, known as RMPs.

An RMP is a report that is prepared following a study or investigation, which generally provides both an overview of the existing traffic operational safety issues identified along certain corridors in South Australia, as well as recommendations for remedial improvements.
