Keep a lookout for wildlife. Be extra careful when
you see road signs saying there are animals in the area.
- If you see an animal on the side of the road, slow down and give it a chance to cross.
- Kangaroos and other native animals are most often out at dusk and dawn. Look out for them.
- Animals can be dazzled by the glare of headlights. If an animal is on the road in front of you, brake slowly, sound your horn, and flash your headlights. Don't swerve. Drive slowly around the animal.
