Big vehicles like buses and trucks can block
your vision. If they’re carrying heavy loads they might be moving more slowly
than you’d like. Be patient when you’re driving near them. Remember:
- Buses and trucks take longer to stop than a car. Try not to stop suddenly in front of them.
- Never overtake big vehicles when they’re turning. They’ll take up more road than you expect.
- When you’re driving next to a truck or bus, the driver might not be able to see you. Be careful. Sound your horn if you think there’s a problem.
- On country roads it’s easy to get impatient if you’re behind a slower moving truck. Be patient, and don’t overtake unless you’re sure the road ahead is clear.
