If you have a learner’s permit or a P1 provisional licence it’s against the law to use any kind of mobile phone when driving. Things happen quickly on the road, and it’s easy to crash if you’re not concentrating fully.
Turn off your phone, or put it in a place you can’t see it or hear it. Stop if you need to make a call or send a message. Don’t risk a crash or a fine.
If you have a P2 provisional licence or a full licence, you can use some kinds of hands-free mobile phones.
