One of the conditions of a P1 provisional licence is that you display P plates on your car every time you drive. Your P plates let people know there are conditions on your licence. It tells them they should be understanding if, for example, you're driving more slowly than they are.
P plates must show a red P printed on a white background. The size must be as shown below.
P plates must be displayed so that they can be easily seen at the front and back of your car. You can get a fine and demerit points if you don’t display your P plates correctly.
