Heavy loads

If you have a heavy load inside your car:

make sure your tyres are properly inflated
remember that heavy loads can affect your car's handling and performance – it will take longer to stop and longer to overtake other cars
make sure nothing can slide around if you turn or brake suddenly – loose items could fly around in a crash and hurt someone
make sure you’ve got a clear view behind, either through the rear window or in your side mirrors.
