Proposed design: During motorsport events
As the city that first brought Formula 1 to Australia, Adelaide is once again leading on the world stage.
Utilising elements of the historic Adelaide Grand Prix circuit, the redeveloped circuit will be home to the world’s first MotoGP™ Grand Prix in a city centre location and the bp Adelaide Grand Final Supercars event from November 2027. It will also host a stage of the Tour Down Under from 2028.
As we prepare the circuit for a new era, we are creating a world-class track for MotoGP and Supercars. It combines speed, safety and spectacular racing to deliver an outstanding experience for riders, drivers and spectators.

About the circuit
The 4.13km circuit with 15 corners reimagines Adelaide’s famed Formula 1 track of the 1980s and 1990s. It brings back legendary sections such as Stag Corner, Rundle Road, Brewery Bend and Dequetteville Terrace.
MotoGP and Supercars will be held on separate weekends in November 2027, and the circuit barriers will be modified between events. Some corners will be realigned for Supercars racing to ensure the close, intense racing that Supercars is known for. There will be no changes to the circuit footprint.
An exceptional circuit for both MotoGP and Supercars
The design is the result of extensive collaboration between the South Australian Motor Sport Board, MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group and Supercars Australia. Specialist input was provided by former 125cc and 250cc World Champion and current MotoGP Safety Advisor Loris Capirossi, and five-time Supercars champion Mark Skaife.
MotoGP bikes are expected to reach speeds of up to 343 km/h, while Supercars are anticipated to top 265 km/h.
