DIT Master Specification

The specifications set out expected requirements, quality and performance outcomes for construction projects and professional services across the industry. These include planning, designing, constructing, maintaining and supplying materials for infrastructure assets.

DIT Request for Tender documents are prepared from standard templates. These are available from the Schedule of Contract Documents and Scope of Contract.

About the specifications

Specifications are grouped into eight categories with multiple parts:

  • Project Controls
  • Roads
  • Structures
  • Public Realm
  • Railway
  • Maintenance
  • Marine
  • Transport Planning.

Each specification part may include a Technical Specification, which refers to standards and legislation, along with any necessary supplements. Because many parts of the Master Specification cross-reference each other, individual parts are rarely used in isolation.

If you are contracted to DIT, relevant parts of the Master Specification will be included under Technical Requirements in the Contract Scope and Contract Requirements (CSCR).
