Project Update

The Australian and South Australian governments have recently committed to jointly funding (50:50) the $120 million construction of a new interchange for the Southern Expressway at Majors Road, O’ Halloran Hill.

As part of the project, establishment of the construction site offices will commence shortly within the Riding for the Disabled premises on Majors Road, O’Halloran Hill.

What to expect

Delivery of demountable offices is expected to occur from Monday,22 May 2023 andthe process of establishing the project site facilities expected to be completed by late June 2023, weather permitting. The majority of these works will be undertaken during the day between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Saturday.

Majors Road will remain open to traffic at all times, however temporary lane and speed restrictions may be required when workers are on site. Please take extra care when workers are on site. Observe traffic management signs, speed limits, lane restrictions and traffic controllers when travelling through the area.

Access to properties and businesses in the area will be maintained at all times during works. In the event that property access is impacted, we will contact you directly ahead of these works occurring.

Access through the area for emergency services will also be maintained at all times.

Some noise disturbance can be expected at times while these works are completed, however the work will be managed to minimise disturbance to nearby properties as much as practically possible.
